Our head office in Hong Kong was first established by 2 young men back in February 1990. They started with a small office of 350 square feet and with just enthusiasm and experience. They had no other staff and relied solely on themselves and their ambition, thus the name of Awards Shipping was given life to.
The company has since developed and grown into a vast network, which includes offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
Since April 2001, the company has been restructured and renamed to Awards Shipping Agency Pte Ltd to meet the rapid changing market environment in Hong Kong and in China where expansion has penetrated into.
Even since then, Awards Shipping has ten offices in mainland China, which are at Dongguan, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shantou, Shenzhen and Xiamen.
The company has also been busy expanding its system of agents in Africa, Australia, Canada, Central & South America, Europe, Indian Sub-Continent, Mediterranean, Middle East, New Zealand and USA, aiming to build a global network.
The company now has a workforce of over 460 staffs globally which are committed to giving efficient services to customers. Awards Shipping has been acting as general shipping agencies for the carriers named “Prosperity Container Line S.A.” and “Fidelity Container Line S.A.”, which are registered under Panama. It helps to boast a range of service from NVOCC operations, worldwide transhipment and transloading to other services such as marine surveying, customs clearance and logistic services.
The company has experienced success but is not stopping here, it is looking forward to continuous expand into Southeast Asia and Mainland China to better serve customers and their demands.
